These are photos of the Chinese battleship Chen Yuen. Even in 1/550 scale, it is for me a short model, being a shade under 7-inches long. Being a very simple model, it took me only three weeks to complete, counting days during which I didn't do anything. As I found that I had made some serious mistakes, some of that time involved time out for mental self-recrimination and time to build up the energy to tear the superstructure apart to remedy the errors I had made. I made the torpedo launches to go with the ship, but as I was in doubt as to their actual appearance, in other words, my launches were merely "guesstimates", I did not mount them.
