This is a 1:192 scale model of the USS Chicago from the mid to late 1930's. It took me approximately two years to build. It started as an old Boucher kit that I took the hull and cut off the bottom section to turn it into a waterline model. That and the 8" barrels were all I used from the Boucher kit. Everything else is either after-market parts and photo-etch or scratch-built. I would like to thank members of the message board for their help over the last 2 years. Bruce Ross & William Blado on the SOC Seagulls that I obtained from Ron Crawford. Steve Wiper, William Burdick and Gary Kingzett on questions about clarifications on the shape of the after superstructure around and below the boat decks.
