I just completed my build of the FleetNet 1/700 scale Commencement Bay CVE-105 resin kit, which I purchased from Pacific Front Hobbies. I haven't seen anyone post photos of a completed kit yet, but the review on SteelNavy was very nice and helpful to me. I have built the kit to reflect the USS Mindoro CVE-120 during the late 1940's / early 1950's. My father served on the Mindoro, briefly, just before his discharge from the Navy in December 1953. I just completed it tonight, Christmas Eve, just in time to give to my Dad for Christmas tomorrow. I haven't been a full time scale model hobbyist for quite some time and I consider myself to be an "above average novice". I've built some wooden ship models, some 1/72 & 1/48 WWII Naval Aircraft and some 1/350 modern U.S. submarines. I have never built a 1/700 scale surface ship before.
