This is USS Arnold J. Isbell (DD869) in 1:192 scale as she appeared when my father served on her from 1953-1955. This was my first scratch-built ship that I completed about 10 years ago. The entire ship is built from scratch with the following exception; photo-etch ladders, railings and number decals are from Gold Medal Models, the stairways are from Masterpieces in Miniature and the chain and white metal anchors are from Bluejacket. I modified photo-etch to make the radar and AA gun railings. The bridge and other parts of the superstructure are open inside. Masters were made of the main armament and stacks and copies made from resin. I know some details are off and this is not reflective of my work today but I'm still very proud of it.
