Before World War Two the Italian Motor Ship Victoria made passenger runs in the Mediterranean and to the orient. As one of the first ships with air-conditioning and with a level of luxury surpassing her prime competitors of the British P & O Line, she was the transport of choice for many travelers voyaging to China. During the war she became a troop transport for the Regia Marina. (click for review of Regia Marina Victoria painted as troop transport).
Giampiero Galeotti of Regia Marina has built his own 1:700 scale kit of MN Victoria, to show her in her happier days, as one of the premier passenger liners to Singapore and Shanghai.
