I've been building models for a couple decades, but it's been a REALLY long time since I've built a ship. I do currently build many different types of models, Armor, Mecha (such as Gundams), Anime figures and cars mostly. The last ship I can recall was probably a Revell Arizona which was sunk while floating in a local creek with a bb gun when I was a kid.

Anyway, I bought this model at a local shop for about 3 or 4 bucks, after getting an itch to build a ship. I'm sure it's probably well known that this is an old model, but I think it's a pretty good one, if very simple. I couldn't find many references for this class of destroyer, so I'm not sure how accurate the model is. However, I'm not really a stickler as long as it looks good on my shelf. I think this one does considering it's my first ship in so long. The Gold Medal Models photo-etched rails help I'm sure. The model comes with an extra sprue with some more detailed guns and some aircraft, for which I managed to find a good use. So that's my destroyer, I hope you like it.
