Rick Cotton took the 1:350 scale model of USS Lexington CV2 produced by Trumpeter and backdated it to 1936. It certainly is dramatic with the mahogany colored deck and a deck covered with yellow wing biplanes. Unfortunately Rick didn't say what he did to achieve this or what products, other than the Trumpeter kit, that he used. However, it appears that extensive scratch-building was used since the aircraft include F3F fighters and TM torpedo bombers that are not currently commercially available.
